How to get more traffic using Twitter For Business

Twitter has produced a media storm in the last few months with a glut of stars using Twitter on their television shows , and business strategists telling us you can use Twitter to new business leads , the interest in Twitter is at a record peak . You probably have friends and work colleagues on Twitter and your suppliers may have invited you to their Twitter profile . So the million dollar question is this . What are YOU doing about it for yourself?

Twitter doesn’t look like it will disappear any time soon. In the meantime some are jumping on the band wagon, while others sit in the sidelines bemused.

But however you approach your Twitter strategy and there’s a great FREE training video about that at http://www.TrafficHug.com/twittervideo/ but whatever you do, you should be doing something. The least you’re likely to achieve is a handful of great relationships , ideally with some way of people finding you by your keyword, or your name. Some people will just try to type your name on Twitter and see if you come up.

We have other articles on getting targeted traffic, but let’s look at something we can do today A right now We’ll take a more detailed look at finding fans but first let’s explore a quick and easy option.

Some business owners think of Twitter traffic as stemming from Twitter internally . A concept most Twitter directories encourage . But with Twitter , the advantages of having your existing traffic join you on Twitter are well worth having . So beneficial that we need to do something about it .

One thing we can do almost immediately is to add a Twitter “badge” to your web properties . A Twitter badge is a graphic showing who you are on Twitter with an active link to your Twitter page. In the videos I mentioned , you’ll discover a lot more , but the badge we can do now, with no excuses.

WHERE CAN I CREATE MY TWITTER BADGE?
You can get your own customised Twitter badge at no cost from this website ;
http://www.TwitterDominator.com/followme_badges.php – FREE Customised Twitter FollowMe Badges .

You just paste the HTML it provides in to your page .

It works great on Wordpress blogs as a sidebar Text Widget. I’ve added one on all my blogs.

It is sealed in its own little HTML DIV tag so should exist happily almost anywhere.

If you create a table or div tag to position it in , then you can just paste the code in easily . With WYSIWYG html editors, there is usually an HTML “object” box you can place in the desired location and just place the code in to that. Adobe Dreamweaver users can just insert an AP Layer (from the insert menu) and then paste the code in to that using the HTML code view pane.

There couldn’t be anything easier than using a Twitter badge. And it’s the glue that links your web 2.0 with your normal web. Don’t miss the boat.
